Florence, who lives in Birmingham, UK is having dietary problems because she is a vegetarian, which is rather unusual in a shark.

Staff at Birmingham's Sea Life Centre say that Florence refuses meals consisting of fish, preferring lettuce, which has left the keepers worried that she is not getting enough protein.

To get round the problem, they say they have been hiding pieces of fish inside hollowed out cucumbers, between the leaves of lettuce and inside celery sticks in order to get the shark to eat them.

In 1986, Oral Sadism and the Vegetarian Personality won the Diagram Prize for books with odd titles, but it did not mention sharks.
