Max Born, co-winner of the 1954 Nobel Prize for Physics, and the man who coined the term 'quantum mechanics', was the grandfather of Olivia Newton-John.
In 2002, the 'text artist and poet' Valerie Laws spray painted words onto sheep which were then allowed to graze to see what poems they came up with as they rearranged the words.
The project was given the name 'Haik-Ewe' though the total number of syllables on the sheep's backs was 19 rather than the traditional 17 of the haiku.
Ms Laws explained, "I decided to explore randomness and some of the principles of quantum mechanics through poetry, using the medium of sheep'.
The project was supported by a grant from Northern Arts.
