In the 1980s, it was reported that Nigeria's navy included 20 ships whose names all meant 'hippopotamus' in various languages and dialects spoken in the country.
It is illegal to import green cars into Nigeria.
In 2009, Nigerian police were reported to be holding a goat on suspicion of attempted armed robbery.
Vigilantes took the animal to the police saying it was an armed robber who had used black magic to transform himself into a goat to escape arrest after trying to steal a Mazda 323 car.
